Allergy

Anyone who suffers from allergies will attest to the fact that knowing exactly what allergens are affecting them can be hard to discover. Any number of things (both natural and chemical) can lead to the onset of symptoms such as runny nose, itching eyes, tightness in the chest, rashes on the skin, and other uncomfortable maladies.

By knowing more about your particular allergy you can help defend yourself against it. Here are some of the more common allergies:

Food allergies are a biggie and they can be deadly in some cases due to wrong Food Recipes. People who have food allergies may not know that they have the allergy until they consume the food in question. Foods such as shell fish and some nuts are two of the more dangerous ones, but all food allergies can be potentially lethal and should be treated by professional medical personnel immediately upon the arrival of symptoms.

In the food allergy category, peanut allergies can be particularly dangerous. There are people, believe it or not, who are so sensitive in their peanut allergy that even the scent of peanuts can be dangerous for them. Eating such foods as peanut butter can of course be devastating to these individuals, but being close to peanuts or peanut products can be equally hazardous.

Another common food allergy is milk allergy. Again, people who have this allergy should avoid ingesting any milk product and many milk by-products.

There are also several people who have wheat allergy or gluten allergy problems. For these people, many times they will not know they have the allergy until they ingest a food substance that triggers their wheat allergy or gluten allergy symptoms.

Yet another common class of allergies is those that fall under pet or animal allergies. Dog allergies and cat allergies are the two most prominent. People who love animals, however, do not have to suffer because of their pets. There many species of dogs and cats which are actually less likely to bring discomfort to an allergy sufferer. The reason for this lies in the type of hair that some of the animals have. If you are interested in learning more about cats and dogs for people with allergies you can do an Internet search using those terms and find out exactly which species are included in this class.

There are, of course, many other types of allergies. From drug reactions to latex allergies, the list is very long. But by learning a bit more about your allergies you can help yourself live a better and more productive life.
